The first Northampton player to captain his country in 1910 was Edgar Mobbs who was remembered for leading his unit into battle in World War I by kicking a rugby ball into No Man’s land. One of the greatest moments in club history was winning the 1999-2000 Heineken Cup final against Munster held at Twickenham.
